FOR COMPLETE INFORMATION ON HER WORKSHOPS, SUPPLY LIST, AND EXAMPLES OF WORKSHOP ART
All of Carrie Lee's techniques work equally well on paper, illustration board or canvas.

Carrie Lee Allbritton is an enthusiastic and energetic teacher who holds nothing back. Her students come away with a new understanding of their own creativity and how to express it using innovative tools, techniques, mediums and paint application. She also provides lots of information in printed form for the students to take home and use. You will be learning to add realism to abstracted backgrounds, as well as creating the fully abstracted painting. Please check out AllbrittonArt.com to see her complete collection of paintings. 2009 Workshops will be even more exciting because we will be planning a finished experimental/abstract painting by using printed papers, fabrics and magazine pages to layout and plan your artwork. Carrie Lee will also have available a few surprises to add to your finished artwork. She will bring the canvas fabric, many printed papers and some heavy fabrics.

Learn through this fast paced workshop:

Painting on newly created surfaces. We will create a "frame" using gel medium, on our support to add drama to the finished painting. We will also collage heavily with brown papers, tissue papers and anything else we can find. These new surfaces add so much to the finished work, plus its fun and creative to do Personal, exciting and dramatic effects are created using gel-mediums, gesso, papers, fabric and more. Making your own personal "stamps" - using something new Creating painted papers for dramatic collages, and addition to your paintings. Strong emphasis will be placed on self-expression, creativity, and design. You also will be using new and fun instruments which will be available at the workshop. You will just love these techniques. We will also be adding 3D objects to our paintings, creating even more interest. So check out your old jewelry, yard sales, etc. for 3D items. Many more areas of experimental/abstract work will be explored and created. This is a workshop where the beginner level student can take home new and wonderful experimental work. And so much more.I can't wait to share with you all the wonders of experimental, abstract art.

I hope to see you there.
