On June 5, the BVAL awarded two $1,000.00 scholarships to two students in the Area. One scholarship was awarded to Kristina Nell Grauke from Brenham High School. She will attend Stephen F. Austin
University where she plans to major in Fine Arts Education. Another scholarship was awarded to Jawon Steptoe from Bryan High School, he will also attend Stephen F. Austin and plans to major in Advertising. They were selected from a group of applicants from area High Schools by the BVAL Board. Students presented a sample of their works and an essay stating why they should be awarded the scholarship.
